Frequently asked questions
Do I need to visit Singapore?
No. Everything is done online, including identity checks and document signing.
Why do I need a local director?
Singapore law requires every company to have at least one director ordinarily resident in Singapore. If you don't have one, our licensed partner can provide a nominee director.
Why is accounting included with a nominee director?
Your nominee director is legally responsible for the company's filings, so we need to keep your books, financial statements and tax filings up to date. If you have your own Singapore-resident director, accounting is optional.
Do I have to use your registered address?
With a nominee director, yes. Official letters from ACRA and the tax authority go to your registered address, so we scan them to you and your director stays informed. If you have your own director, it's included but you can use your own Singapore address.
What is the nominee director deposit?
A S$1,000 refundable security deposit, paid by bank transfer after checkout and held while the nominee director service is active. It's returned when the service ends, provided all fees and filings are up to date.
How long does incorporation take?
Usually 1–2 business days once your identity checks are complete. With a nominee director, we also need your deposit to arrive first.
Can every business use Duly?
Most can. Some regulated or higher-risk activities need extra review or may not be eligible for a nominee director.
What happens after year one?
Your plan renews annually and we track every filing deadline, so you stay in good standing.
